Soren Johnstone
Co-Founder &
Creative Director
Soren Johnstone is an award-winning filmmaker with 25 years of experience as a director, writer, cinematographer, and editor. He’s travelled to over 20+ countries capturing stories and human connection across the world.
By the time he reached his early 20s, Soren co-founded a production company and began working with well-known global brands - building a career that’s taken him across many industries and the globe.
He takes a consultative approach with every client, serving as a creative director and collaborator from strategy to concept design to final edit, bringing project leadership and quality results to every video he creates.
Rachel Ryall
Co-Founder &
Managing DirectorRachel brings 20 years of experience across marketing, project management, and client services, with a proven track record of helping organizations of all sizes unlock revenue growth and achieve measurable business outcomes.
A marketing graduate from BCIT School of Business and Media, Rachel's career has spanned managing teams in tech, tourism, hospitality and financial services, giving her extensive experience working with local and global brands.
At Lunara, Rachel leads business development, client relationships and project management, transforming clients’ vision into a video strategy that drives real results. She also brings a creative side, with experience in film industry marketing and even a few acting credits in short films for fun.
Luna is the heart of Lunara and the inspiration behind the name . Luna brings her paw-sitive energy to every video project, whether it’s warming up interview subjects, spreading joy on film sets or performing tricks (for treats, of course).
Luna's expertise includes morale management, set supervision, and ensuring no treat goes unaccounted for.
In her spare time, she enjoys Vancouver's trails and parks, chewing on sticks and taking naps - and making an occasional cameo in behind-the-scenes content.
